Life Week #19 - Decisions
It's so easy to judge decisions retrospectively
Each decision has the feature, which might not be visible at first, but usually becomes visible once we feel remorseful some time later.
Why I did not tell her what I felt to her?
Why we wanted to build a house?
Why you bought this crappy car?
So many retrospective judgements, so easy to be made after some time when we know the result. Why it ain't that easy to judge in front? Well, the answer this time seems to be simple - cause no-one knows the future. Sure, basing on our knowledge and experience we might guess or be confident than putting your hand to the boiling water is not a good decision, but how many of our life decisions are taken based only on our gut feeling or pre-factum analysis. We don't know the future, we can only accept the fact that we did our best to make best decision possible and not to feel any regret after-all.
This week was pretty intense due to one of the typical life decisions - should I stay or should I go?
Should I change my daily job to try something new or keep my current safe working place in the times of incoming recession? Is my current or future company better place to grow or survive the crisis? Eventually I decided to change my job and in 3 months time I will start new journey. I have no idea whether it is a good decision or not - but I trust that with the help of my wife we made the right choise.
