Life Week #28 - Holiday dot

I-need-holidays factor - number of days needed to actually start feeling relaxed during holidays

In crazy 2022 year I actually wanted to spend at least 2 weeks on holidays with my family. Usually it means going for a longer trip during holiday season. As this year is different we decided to split our holidays into set of smaller trips to different parts of Poland. Last episode of out holiday time was about to happen by the end of summary and actually happened this week.

Although we planned this trip bit later and had rough idea about destination and timeline everything actually happened this week - booking flat to rent, getting approval for 2 days of annual leave in work, creating checklist of potential trip goals packing and starting holidays. I really like that approach 😊

This also means that we've completed the first level of our holidays goal - spending 2 weeks on holidays in one year. Just to give some heads up - next level means spending 1 month on holidays during one year 😎

Also, during this trip I finally defined I-need-holidays factor. This is an interesting factor I was thinking about for several years. It is defined as number of days needed to actually start feeling relaxed during holidays. The more tired & stressed you are the more holiday days you need to actually get rid of daily stress.

I feel that I-need-holidays is a great factor factor defining whether everything is fine with your daily life. The lower the factor the better your life is. My current score is 3 - which is already better compared to the past, but still means that usual weekend is too short to get rest from daily challenges. Sounds like we need to do something about it, right?

Summary

✅ Active week including couple of nice walks, excercise sets and finally 1 running session

✅ Organized next holiday trip
