Life Week #30 - New projects, old problems
It is foolish to assume that doing the same thing will result in different results
Consistency, persistence and patience
- the big three needed to reach goals. But, here comes the counter three - creativity, responsibility and helpfulness
- and they don't like the big three. They want to be the three to rule me all.
This is actually funny cause all six characteristics are rather positive ones. Or, actually, the positive ones. The thing is that not every positive attribute will help you reach the goals. It looks like I am in the middle of the war which may explain my difficulties with moving from A to B for years.
Let's try to quickly check the impact of good-bad features.
Creativity
is great thing - you not only have ideas you'd like to introduce to the world, but, from time to time, those ideas are the good ones. However, what if you have too many ideas? Well, that can interfere with actual implementation of the previous ones.
Responsibility
is great overall - you foresee all possible problems and live careful life - limiting issues like accidents, illnesses, financial problems, etc for you and your whole family. So, what's wrong with it? It simply slows you down. You can't move full steam ahead if you want to make sure that the family is sound & safe, is growing and your projects do not have bad influence on family life.
Helpfulness
is also tricky as people are grateful if you help them. The trick is that there is a hidden cost in being helpful - it's the lack of focus. You can't think about complex algorithm and at the same time help with homework. It's impossible to train in the park and do the shopping or fix blocked tap.
Actually right now I'm wondering if family man can reach goals... Or, what is the possible speed you move on towards goals if you are not only focused on your own?
