Life Week #79 - To simplify or to complicate?
Life hates emptyness...
The worst thing about living an organized life is that you have too much time to think which generates conclusions and actions that may lead to both simplification and complication, depending on luck, quality of decisions, ability to foresee the future, or random number generator, whatever fits best.
This is why recently I decided to do something about the flat I own and rent. The value of the flat has grown recently giving me the option to sell it and to pay the mortgage on the flat I live in. The rent level has grown rapidly recently due to the war in Ukraine so as a landlord I am unhappy with the current income.
The facts above made me conclude and decide to take some actions to fix the situation - to sell the flat or raise the rent level. As the person currently renting the flat did not decide to both buy the flat and accept the raise, I had to take another action and end the deal.
I decided to try to sell for a pretty high price checking the market reaction and I am waiting right now.
Will it be a good call? Should I sell or rent someone else? I have no idea. As it stands for now it made absolute sense to end the current deal and to take some actions. Will I regret it? I hope not...
