Life Week #98 - Swimming

New Year's Resolution are not dead, yet!

It's been about a year since visiting our local swimming pool. I have no idea how it is possible that we failed to visit our swimming pool for such a long time but this is a fact. Finally, having more or less a free Sunday we packed our family into the car and spent 2 hours swimming & relaxing.

Due to Sunday and the snowy weather the swimming pool was full of people but to my surprise it did not disturb us. I was so proud to see my children swimming with us on one track in a queue for 20-25 distances. After years of training, we finally see the results of their development. I love moments like that 😍

This week was not that typical due to only 3 working days and two opportunities to get drunk. Well, 2k24 seems to be a good year to try to limit drinking (again). I already nearly abandoned drinking beer and vodka, from time to time only consuming wine, whiskey, gin, or rum, but I believe this is the right time for the next step - limiting frequency.

I failed to find more time to practice chess & self-dev. On the flip side - I returned to reading books. I am also starting a daily evening family reading session starting with "The Psychology of Money" by Morgan Housel. Let's see if we can build a habit out of it.
