My Week #138 - Scary moment
One moment can define your future
Every day, we experience dozens of situations that could dramatically change our lives—for good or for bad. The probability of each situation is low or ridiculously low, but it's non-zero. You can break your leg while going down the stairs, you can be hit by a car when crossing the street, you can meet someone you love buying a break in your local bakery, or you can find the inspiration for the product that will skyrocket your business.
The good and the bad can happen at any time. Sure, it typically does not happen, but there is always a risk. This week I was close to experiencing this kind of risk. I was unloading the delivery of the composite planks for loggia in my apartment when I hit my head with a metal handle hanging from the ceiling waiting for the wall to surround it. I fell down for a moment and was in shock, but seeing no bigger issues and no blood I slowly came back to work to finish unloading.
This could be one of those defining moment that could entirely change my life, or even end it. It was a really hard hit that I am grateful that to be perfectly fine two days later, just with a strong marking line on my head.
You live day by day, you push to meet your goals, you catch your dreams, or just try to survive and in one moment everything can just end for you, with a blink of an eye, of course out of a sudden. Be grateful, enjoy your life, look for the positives, and ignore the negatives. Stay calm, and move on, you never know how many days are yet in front of you.
