My Week #146 - Procrastinating but energetic
The last steps are always the most difficult ones
My apartment finishing is on the last straight. I can see the finish line already, but still, there are some steps to be done, some actions to be taken, and some decisions to be made. To my initial surprise, this made me start to procrastinate. I was delaying some purchase decisions, probably due to the overall cost and the drastically reduced scale of the current budget.
This ain't a good approach. Sure, sometimes, if you are unsure about something it is good to take a step back and reconsider, but sometimes you just need to act and move forward.
It's pretty similar to running - it's so easy to take the first steps and so difficult to maintain the pace and do the next steps later on.
Overall, the only way to move to the next project is to complete or abandon the previous one you focus on. I have many projects from my past that I sooner or later abandoned, in the early stages, in the middle, before the end, or right after the big start. Persistence and consistency are not at the top of my attribute list. Sure, they should be, but well 🤷
This is also super important for me to train my persistence, consistency, and will to achieve goals. Without that I will stay in the play I am currently in - unhappy, without a feeling of success, always looking for another chance...
