My Week #149 - 2025 predictions

Anyone can predict, even if most of us should not...

2024 summary

Before predicting 2025, let's seek how precise my predictions for 2024 were.

⛔️ I will finally (finally 😳) finish my first side project and it will become a minor success. ✅✅ I will finish the renovation of my new flat to start renting it but not by the end of September, as initially planned, but by the end of the year. ✅/⛔️ My wife will stay in the school she is working in currently with a smaller amount of hours as a teacher but with the new role of supervising teacher in one of the classes. ⛔️ My son will finally wake up from his teenage laziness to do some activities / find a new hobby. ✅/⛔️ My daughter will continue to sing and will finally perform her first song as a solo singer. ✅ The global crisis will not end this year due to many geopolitical conflicts in Europe, the Middle East, East Asia, etc. ✅ The war on Ukraine will not end this year (again), it will not be very dynamic. ✅✅ AI will still grow, while Apple Vision Pro, although excellent, will not change the AR/VR world. ✅ The AI revolution will continue impacting the IT market limiting the amount of developers needed in the market & salary raises outside the AI business.

2025 predictions

Let's try to predict what the future brings...

Personal

1. I will finally (finally 😳) finish my first side project but it will not become a success. I will start planning my second side project.

2. My GG Apartment will be a minor success, delivering roughly 3% of net income per year.

3. I will continue working at my current work place and I will be on a good track to be promoted next year.

3. My wife will complete here new studies but will find it difficult to start new practice combined with her work at school.

4. My son will complete the primary school with nice exam results and will qualify to the good secondary school.

5. My daughter will grow as a singer and as a person solving part of her mental issues related to relationship-building.

6. We'll have two funerals and no weddings in the closest family.

7. We'll complete the renovation of the terrace in the country side.

Global (from the Polish point of view)

1. The presidential elections will end with the president supported by the current one.

2. The war on Ukraine will pause this year with a reasonable compromise.

3. The real estate market in PL will have a crisis in the first half of the year but will wake up in the second part after new goverment programme is announced.

4. AI will reach a moment when it becomes a tool used by every reasonable developer. Also, some of the non-IT jobs on the market will be put on risk.

5. EU will face a crisis caused by the green energy evolution and will make first drastic decisions to take some steps back due to the worse position compared to US & China.
