My Week #168 - Void

Void in mind, power in legs

Void is probably the best word to describe my feeling by the end of this week. When I look back at the last 7 days, I feel kinda good, keeping in mind that we celebrated the next big event in our son's life, managed to accomplish a couple of nice things when it comes to work, and also found time to mentally relax during the weekend.

I believe the only thing that bothers my mind, causing me to feel the void, is the minor / or the lack of any significant progress when it comes to things that matter. The funny thing is that this is also not entirely true. Yesterday, I built a brand new resume to be used for future recruitment processes and completed basic AI training, unlocking my next plans.

Thinking loudly, what I am missing currently is the lack of a clear goal, comparable to the marathon one. When thinking about the marathon, I know the place, the date, the steps needed to get prepared, and I execute my training according to a random, but progressive schedule. When it comes to other projects & goals, they are not that clear and specific. Maybe that's the main reason here?

Let's think about chess - would registration in some chess tournament help me to get through some obstacles?

Let's think about house renovation - would an agreement with the renovation company be a step towards the realisation?

Let's think about the first app - would a clear release date before some event force me to plan a work schedule to meet the deadline?

S.M.A.R.T. is still not my friend. I know the methodology, I understand it, but still, I do not progress fast enough. Maybe this could be my goal for the next week - to make one of my other projects SMART?
