My Week #169 - Drinking games
Alcohol is the devil, breaking all the habits
Last week ,I clearly pointed out that applying S.M.A.R.T. methodology is probably the best way to actually progress with your goals. This is why, this week, I failed to complete my homework related to applying it to another goal 🤷
Marathon is on its way, although the weather and the business trip prevented me from achieving the full training plan. Well, I'll find the replacement by applying a stronger set of exercises at home to complete the minimum when it comes to running.
Nothing else is on its way. Sure, I visited the doctor, and my latest Holter ECG results were really good, the best in the last two years ❤️
Sure, I spent a lot of time participating in the hackathon and practising coding algorithms; however, other than that, I did nothing to move towards my goals. On the flip side, I did a lot to have a bad impact on my brain and health, drinking too much. Events like that happen periodically in my life, however, this is a clear stopper for my progress. I sleep too little, the quality of my regeneration is much lower, and my brain loses its efficiency.
Can I do something about it? Can I stop drinking? What makes me drink that much? The stress, the feeling of being worse than others, the lack of internal confidence?
In 20 weeks' time, I am running my marathon. In 20 weeks' time, my workplace will probably change and I will need to adapt to the new one. In 20 weeks' time, I'd like to have a clear progress with one of my other life goals, which I have not selected yet.
This is the moment to stop doing things that slow me down and to start doing things that accelerate me.
Let's see where we are next week...
