My Week #205 - A total remaster
I am not affraid of the approaching release anymore
Despite many obstacles, it was a productive week for my side project. After completing the core gameplay, I focused on the less exciting parts, such as additional screens (instructions, credits), integrating crash reporting and analytics tools, and addressing many other small details. I shared the app with a few friends and gathered feedback that made me rethink the app’s retro feel. As a result, I decided to experiment with a subtle, glassy design for the buttons and navigation components. I like the outcome—it feels noticeably more modern.
At the same time, my friend and level designer for this project spent some time exploring current tools and refreshing the graphics. The results are astonishing, but they also mean taking a few steps back to redesign the gameplay screen.
Still, one week later, the amount of pre-release work is decreasing. That is exciting 💪
The coming week is also the last week at my current job. I start a new one next week, and I am more excited than ever 🧑💻
Plan for week #206
