My Week #242 - Embracing marketing...

Creating software is simple nowadays, promoting is a nightmare..

The first two minor updates to my drone app have been released. Sometimes I feel like the owner of a small software factory. Sometimes I feel depressed about AI taking over all my work.

I now understand what it feels like to be an entrepreneur. Someone else does the work you ask them to do, while your ultimate goal is to find a niche for your product and promote it.

I started promoting it in the simplest possible way — I’m learning how to post on X and throwing some posts on LinkedIn. Once my app grows and gets more features, I want to use the app itself to promote it. That's probably the only way to gain some traction sooner or later. Hopefully sooner.

My initial plan is to keep adding features from my wishlist for at least the next three months and then focus more on promotion.

We’ll see what the future brings 🤷
