Life Week #60 - Done or doing?
All this motivational stuff is so confusing sometimes
There are so many motivational books, speeches and courses nowadays. And they all contain some guidelines to be happy, to achieve success, to become better every day, to live a great life, etc. Sure, there are many ways to reach the same destination as well as there are many different destinations to reach. Still, having in mind such simple access to knowledge nowadays it's becoming confusing to actually understand if something is good or bad for you. Or, to consider whether you are happy or not. I have such a huge mix of thoughts that, to be honest, every day I feel that I should go in a different direction. Damn, it's so messy 🤯
Even with the smallest things I feel confused sometimes. To give the example, the next week is ending and exactly a week ago I planned to reach specific results with the plank and push-ups. The whole week passed by and I did not perform a single full workout training that would let me try to reach the goals. Still, on a lazy Sunday afternoon, I decided just to give it a try without any proper warmup and both goals were accomplished. Should I celebrate now reaching week goals or still be upset cause it means nothing if I did not train properly at all for the whole week? What is more important - a journey itself or reaching a destination no matter how easy or difficult it is? 🤔
