Life Week #63 - The meeting effect

The quality of people you meet directly impacts your motivation

I just realized how my general motivation is correlated with meeting the right people. Some people have a very good impact on my mood before, during, and after the meeting while others have the opposite impact. I could even name it the meeting effect.

Like yesterday, we met with our neighbors and today I feel really motivated to move on with my life plans, as usual after meeting them. On the flip side, some people I meet on a very frequent basis make me totally stressed many hours before the meeting and usually demotivate me for the next couple of days.

The truth is that in both scenarios the meeting effect disappears after some time, usually after a couple of days, but I think I should pay more attention to how I feel after meeting certain people and based on this try to moderate the frequency of particular meetings. Well, at least this is what the theory would say, the practice of family relations makes it a bit more difficult, but maybe there is a way to do sth about it 🤔
